A well-established manufacturing company in the Danville, VA area is seeking a hands-on Safety Manager to lead and strengthen its safety programs across the facility.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on the plant floor, working directly with employees and leadership to build a proactive, people-focused safety culture. The Safety Manager will oversee all aspects of safety management and compliance, driving continuous improvement and ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards
- Conduct safety training, audits, and incident investigations
- Partner closely with operations and plant leadership to identify and mitigate risks
- Promote engagement and accountability at all levels of the organization
- Develop and implement programs to strengthen overall safety performance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in safety management within a manufacturing/industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced production environment
