Operations Manager – Advanced Manufacturing

Our client, a global materials manufacturer, is making significant investments in one of their flagship facilities in Virginia. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations in a highly advanced, continuous manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a talented team and four production assets — including a brand-new line — with tremendous
long-term growth potential. The plant produces some of the company’s most
strategic and innovative products, utilizing cutting-edge textile processes
that few others in the world can match in scale or capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing operations team across multiple shifts.
- Drive continuous improvement, process reliability, and cost optimization.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure product quality and operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and professional growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in continuous improvement or process engineering (Green or Black Belt preferred).
- Multi-shift leadership experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Engineering or technical degree strongly preferred.
- Hands-on, approachable leadership style — visible on the floor and able to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to represent operations with customers when needed.
