A growing and highly innovative manufacturer is seeking a Vice President of Product Development & Innovation to lead the development of advanced engineered materials and textile-based products. This executive leadership role will be responsible for driving innovation, overseeing product development strategy, and leading a talented technical organization focused on solving complex customer challenges.
This individual will play a critical role in shaping the future product strategy, accelerating innovation, and supporting the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product development and innovation initiatives across a portfolio of engineered medical device products
- Partner with customers to translate technical specifications into commercially successful solutions
- Drive material, fabric, and product development efforts from concept through commercialization
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of technical professionals and managers
- Collaborate closely with commercial, operations, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Establish and execute long-term innovation and product roadmap strategies
- Support business growth through new product development and technology leadership
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience managing technical and cross-functional teams
- Strong background in medical textiles and engineered materials
- Technical degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience leading product development, R&D, and innovation efforts
- Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions
