A leading manufacturer of outdoor, industrial, and berry amendment textile products is seeking a Director of Sales to join their Maryland team. This company specializes in outdoor textile products, upholstery, and industrial textiles. Today, they are experiencing major growth across multiple markets.
This is a high-impact role for someone who understands the performance fabric product space and can bring both strategic sales leadership and hands-on customer engagement.


Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sales initiatives across key industrial and outdoor textile markets
  • Drive growth by identifying trends, new opportunities, and emerging segments
  • Own the full sales cycle including long-cycle industrial sales
  • Prepare and manage pricing proposals, quotes, and contract discussions
  • Strengthen existing customer relationships and take over key accounts
  • Build new business through market knowledge and networking
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership on long-term growth plans
  • Operate with significant autonomy while helping shape sales operations
  • Through planned retirement of leadership this position will transition into the team leader.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in B2B sales, ideally in industrial fabrics, outdoor textiles, Berry Compliant or mil-spec materials
  • Proven ability to manage long and complex sales cycles
  • Strategic thinker with experience building growth plans and penetrating new markets
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage customers at all levels
  • Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with textile manufacturing processes
  • A self-starter who thrives in a role with flexibility, independence, and high visibility
