We’re looking for a strategic and passionate Sales focused CEO / General Manager to lead the commercial growth of a pioneering company at the intersection of luxury apparel, biomaterials, and sustainability. Backed by cutting-edge science and a mission to redefine sustainable textiles, this company is poised to make a lasting impact on the future of fashion.
As General Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and executing our go-to-market strategy. You’ll be responsible for building and managing relationships with top-tier luxury brands, driving revenue growth, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative materials to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the sales strategy targeting luxury apparel brands
- Build and nurture high-value relationships with key partners in the luxury sector
- Drive business development efforts across product categories and global markets
- Translate technical biomaterial and textile innovations into compelling value for luxury customers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and leadership to align sales with company objectives
- Lead and grow a high-performing sales team, production and product development teams
- Step in where needed—this is a collaborative, hands-on role that thrives on agility and ownership
Qualifications:
- Proven sales leadership in apparel selling to apparel brands.
- Strong network and experience selling to premium/luxury brands prefered
- Deep understanding of technical fabrics, textiles, or biomaterials
- Ability to translate complex product innovations into clear customer value
- Strong collaborator with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment—startup or high-growth company experience is a plus
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and lead by example
- A passion for innovation, sustainability, and building from the ground up
